Why did we create eYssen?

In 2025, we decided to fork the Odoo Community Edition and launch eYssen. The reason lies in the ongoing changes to Odoo's business model, which increasingly pushes customers towards the Enterprise Edition and SaaS.

Many features that were once available in the Community edition have gradually been moved to the Enterprise version. Licensing terms became stricter, and the official SaaS approach left less flexibility for partners.

eYssen carries forward Fabien Pinckaers' original vision: a commitment to openness, independence, and long-term trust with clients and partners.
